Earthquake in Bee Class!
Yesterday, Bee class was struck by the devastation of an earthquake! On arriving to school, children were taken to the hall as their classroom was shut off because it was so dangerous! Throughout the morning, the class investigated what had happened, interviewing eye-witnesses and coming up with some great imaginative ideas of what may have caused this devastation.
In the afternoon, children where set a STEM project to design and build an earthquake proof building out of cocktail sticks and marshmallows. The challenge was to build the tallest, most stable building they could. Children then tested their buildings by putting them into jelly to replicate earthquake tremors!
